Prayer Points
Pray for the PYV and the important work it does among the young
people of the PCV. Pray for the Lord’s blessing on next Saturday’s
‘Girls Day Out’, and for the preparations for the Junior
Camp in late September.
PYV Girls Day Out 2008
Talks by Michelle Humphreys on using the tongue for good! “Keeping
it in” - keeping your tongue in check, and “Letting
it out” - when to speak up! Also workshops on “Chicks
Ministry”, “Self/Body Image and Respect” and “Missions”.
In the Bamboo Hall at Canterbury on Saturday, 2 August from 9.30am
to 12.30pm. Cost: $5 per head (includes snacks). Bring money for

PTC Short Course—Practical Ethics
Professor Douglas Milne will be lecturing at the short course on
“Practical Ethics” to be held at the PTC on 6 consecutive
Wednesday evenings from 6 August to 10 September from 7.15pm to
9.15pm. Cost : $66 with special deals available. Leaflets detailing
the topics for each week are available on the table in the east
porch of the Church.
Seminar on Marriage
Heathmont PC is conducting a seminar with workshops entitled “Marriage:
Safe place, Soft place” on Saturday, 9 August from 9.30am
to 4.00pm. Cost is $30 per couple, includes lunch, morning and afternoon
teas. Speakers: Peter and Janet Currie. Peter is the minister of
Woonona Presbyterian Church (NSW). RSVP:
